About
Erick Lachapelle is a Professor of Political Science at the Université de Montréal. He holds a PhD in political science from the University of Toronto. His research focuses on political behaviour, public opinion, and climate policy, with particular attention to how beliefs, values, and institutional contexts shape support for climate action in democratic societies.
He has extensive experience in survey and experimental design and has led large-scale studies in North America and Europe. He is a CSSN Scholar, the principal investigator of the Canadian Surveys on Energy and the Environment (CSEE) and a principal researcher at EcoAnalytics.
